Job Title: Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced estimator with 3-5 years of experience in heavy and light civil projects, including earthworks, underground work, asphalt milling and paving, concrete flatwork, and earthwork in the public, commercial, and private sectors. Candidates should be proficient with the HCSS 'Bid to Win' estimating program. A degree is not necessary, and we welcome applications from both local and out-of-town candidates. The projects typically range from $500k to $5 million.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to meet corporate profitability goals.
- Coordinate with all Superintendents to establish a budget.
- Lead estimating efforts on integrated projects to ensure an accurate and consistent bid-to-build process.
- Coordinate efforts with the project sponsor and manager of construction to manage resources to meet the project schedule.
- Participate in bid review and closing to ensure bid accuracy and evaluate project feasibility; develop bid schedule.
- Provide an environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Foremen, Superintendents, and construction managers to ensure work is accomplished efficiently, profitably, and safely.
- Ensure proper job controls, including quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, etc., to provide customer service and develop long-term partnerships with the client base.
- Ensure accurate construction reports for the job, allowing for continuous performance improvement.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy and light civil projects (earthworks and underground)

Work Environment
The candidate will work alongside a seasoned team as the earthworks underground division is being established. The collaborative environment will provide support until the candidate is self-sufficient. The role involves working on projects ranging from $500k to $5 million, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
