Job Description

• We are currently hiring for field or project engineers to work on a variety of projects including sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater facilities, water distribution facilities, site work, and grading.
• This role involves acting as a liaison between the client, the contractor, and the engineer in the office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering representative onsite whenever the contractor is performing work.
• Observe and report to ensure that the work is being done according to specifications.
• Complete daily construction reports on a tablet, recording daily activities and material quantities used.
• Contact the project engineer and assist in resolving onsite issues.
• Conduct field observation for construction quantification for payment purposes.

Essential Skills

• Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Willingness to perform field work

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in or Environmental Engineering
• Previous engineering internship experience
• Proficiency in engineering, Land development, Inspection, Stormwater, Site development, Environmental Engineering, Design, design, 3D, and AutoCAD 3D

Work Environment

• This role offers a hybrid schedule with one day a week working from home.
• The field engineer will spend 6-18 months in the field, depending on project progress, with the opportunity to move into a designer role afterwards.
• Daily travel to project sites within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh is required, using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
