Job Description

• We are currently hiring for Field or Project Engineers who will work on a variety of projects including sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater facilities, water distribution facilities, site work, and grading.
• Candidates must have a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent and be open to doing field work.
• This role involves acting as a liaison between the client, contractor, and office engineer.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering representative onsite whenever the contractor is performing work.
• Observe and report to ensure the work is being done according to specifications.
• Complete daily construction reports on a tablet to record activities and material quantities used each day.
• Contact the project engineer and assist in resolving any issues that arise on site.
• Conduct field observation for construction quantification for payment.

Essential Skills

• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Experience with field work
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Civil or Environmental Engineering Degree
• Engineering internship experience
• Knowledge in land development, inspection, stormwater, site development, and civil design

Work Environment

• This is a hybrid role with a schedule that includes one day a week working from home.
• The Field Engineer will be in the field for 6-18 months depending on project progress and may transition to a designer role upon finding their niche.
• Daily travel to project sites within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh is required, using their own vehicle with mileage reimbursements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
