Position Overview Seeking a highly skilled engineer/technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize various equipment and systems. This role requires a
hands-on approach to diagnostics, repairs, installations, and system configurations while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to verify proper system functionality.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs as needed.
- Install and calibrate new systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Verify the accuracy of I/O systems and electrical components.
- Maintain clear documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Generate detailed reports outlining system performance and service history.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and leadership teams to address challenges.
- Support junior technicians with guidance and training.
- Manage travel schedules to ensure timely arrival for projects.
- Adhere to company travel policies, including booking arrangements and expense submissions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation, with expertise in industrial wiring, I/O systems, pneumatics, and electronic device configuration.
- Networking & Systems: Familiar with VPNs, firewalls, wireless networks, and security protocols.
- Equipment & Tools: Skilled in diagnostics, maintenance, and operation of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in 480V/MDR conveyor installation, warehouse/distribution center operations, and travel-heavy roles (5–7 years preferred).
- Work Style: Detail-oriented, independent, and strong in communication/customer service.
- Education & Travel: Associate or bachelor's degree (or equivalent technical training) with willingness to travel up to 75% across North America.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
