Fulfillment Technician

Description

This person will be working in the back with the actual prescription drugs. They will be working on dispensing the medications into the bottles / packages. This will be known as a "fulfillment tech". They will be on their feet all day, at their station in the actual pharmacy, printing labels from the system and then picking the drugs from the coolers and shelves, putting the labels and drugs in the bins, and then placing them on the conveyor lines. Once the patient's order has been pulled, the tote gets sent down the conveyor line and then goes to the pharmacist. The pharmacist is in charge of making sure that everything has been pulled correctly in terms of types of medication, quantity, dosage, etc. They then sign off for the entire order and send the tote down the conveyor line again to the shipping team to be packaged and prepared for delivery. In addition, they do some stocking of drugs, some packing of drugs (cross trained to help the shippers), etc. They ship out 1200 orders on Mondays and about 4000 for the week. THEY MUST BE ABLE TO WORK BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM - 8PM. SHIFTS WILL FLUCTUATE AND EACH CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT BETWEEN THESE HOURS OF OPERATION. Hours for these openings are currently: Monday- Wednesday 11am to 8pm(1hour lunch), Thursday 9am to 8pm(1hour lunch), and Friday 8am to 3pm(1 hour lunch). HERE IS THE JD FROM IQN: Job Summary Responsible for filling prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Job Responsibilities * Assists the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing of medications and supplies. * Arranges work activities so that the pharmaceutical needs of patients are met. * Cleans equipment, and maintains all required temperature logs as per corporate Policy and Procedures. * While completing fulfillment functions, checks medication and administration supply inventory for out-of-date products, removes products from inventory and works with the appropriate resource to record out-of-date products in the Expiring Medication log book. * Assists with full inventory and cycle counts. * Assists the inventory team with putting away newly received inventory in the appropriate location in the pharmacy * Performs related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications * High School Diploma/GED * Basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, access information on-line, etc.). * Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets). * Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing outline view and/or running a slide show). * Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions). * Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. * Experience in entering data into databases such as Microsoft Access. * Keyboarding skills basic level (for example: operate by touch the letter, number, and symbol keys with minimal errors). Preferred Qualifications * iDEALLY 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician filling medications. * Pharmacy Technician License or Certification preferred unless required by state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification agency.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
