Job Title: Gas Technician
Job Description
We are hiring for a landfill gas technician with over 2 years of experience in reading and tuning the wellfield. This skilled and certified specialist will be responsible for traveling within the Denver, CO area for two landfills (one open, one closed) as well as supporting partner sites in Montana and Utah with routine and non-routine maintenance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable and skilled in pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.
Responsibilities
- Read and tune the wellfield
- Travel within the Denver, CO area and support partner sites in Montana and Utah
- Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance
- Perform pump maintenance tasks including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement
- Migrate data from tablets into eTools
Essential Skills
- 2 years of experience in landfill gas reading and tuning
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience in environmental engineering
- Certified with an OSHA 40 HR HAZWOPER
- Experience in data collection and environmental testing
- Troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with reading software
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus
- 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher
Work Environment
The work involves landfills with a GCCS methane system which leads to a gas to energy plant. The company offers a culture of professionalism and security, leading to very low turnover.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
