Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Analytical Chemist to provide accurate analytical services and results. The ideal candidate will perform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up tasks, as well as operate a variety of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up using techniques such as blending, shaking, Soxhlet extraction, digestion, SPE, distillation/condensation, liquid-liquid partitioning, and chemical derivatization.
• Extract samples and prepare reagents according to documented methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate laboratory equipment including blenders, nitrogen and roto-evaporators, shakers, pH meters, and centrifuges.
• Independently document and prepare reagents and analytical working standards according to current SOPs.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in chemistry, analytical chemistry, and quality control.
• Experience with bench chemistry and gas chromatography (GC - MSMS).
• Knowledge of gas chromatography with Ion Monitoring, MRM (multiple reaction monitoring), and SRM (selective reaction monitoring).
• Expertise in sample preparation, extraction, and the use of mass spectrometry and gas chromatograph software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The position operates within a laboratory environment, utilizing general laboratory equipment and techniques. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $57200.00/yr.
