Description:
- Geotechnical Engineer in the field at least 70% of the time
- Performing geotechnical support to commercial and residential projects throughout NYC, perform inspections
- Field work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring
- Familiarity with AutoCAD to design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems
- Geotechnical report writing including SOE, retaining walls, load test details, field forms/ standard logs, soil/ rock classifications, drilling logs, and calculations
Skills:
-Geotechnical engineering and inspections
-Soil boring
-Drilling
-Test pits
-Excavation/ Deep foundation
-AutoCAD
-Geotechnical analysis/ report writing
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-EIT OR PE preferred but not required
-Master's Degree preferred but not required
-OSHA SST, OSHA 40 Hazwoper, OSHA 30 will be required to start but will be provided if needed
