Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Job Description

Design, develop, integrate, and test hardware and electronic components to be applied to and integrated with engineering and scientific requirements. Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support hardware systems from the board level to system level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform detailed design of test control apparatus and equipment.
• Develop schematics and drawings to support fabrication with CAD tools (schematic capture, timing simulation, and place and route tools).
• Lead research, design, develop, and test electronic components, products, and systems.
• Qualify and test developed hardware, test plans, and procedures, and test systems.
• Act as Project Engineer for assigned tasks, including researching and organizing system specifications to ensure compliance with requirements, developing design review material and presenting at formal meetings, and managing all aspects of the design and development process.
• Consult with software engineers for hardware and software integration.
• Ensure all designs are completed on schedule, under budget, and sustain manufacturing reliability.
• Perform digital circuit design utilizing programmable logic (FPGAs, etc.).
• Must be at the assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time, except for PTO, FML, STD, and LTD.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing and R&D office environment in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
