Job Title: Hardware Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to support electrical and connectivity hardware test engineering for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) glasses and headsets. Main responsibilities include bringing up evaluation boards, debugging problems, testing, and validating evaluation boards and form factor units in accordance with project plans.

Responsibilities

• Bring up evaluation boards for AR and VR glasses and headsets.
• Debug hardware problems and issues.
• Test and validate evaluation boards and form factor units.
• Run and automate test cases.
• Summarize results and identify areas for optimization.
• Work directly with client engineering teams on product development.

Essential Skills

• Experience with board bring up.
• Proficiency in automation and Python.
• Knowledge of WiFi, Bluetooth (BT), MIPI, and PCIE.
• Strong debugging and validation skills.
• Experience summarizing test results and optimizing processes.
• Proficiency in soldering and rework, especially with prototype evaluation boards.
• Experience with C for firmware validation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience running and automating test cases.
• Ability to work directly with clients on product development.

Work Environment

You will work onsite at the client's location in Mt. View, collaborating directly with their engineering teams. This role offers the opportunity to see the development process from start to finish and work on a variety of products and projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

The company does an annual trip that is similar to our contest trip except the company doesn't cover significant others. However, the employee can fly their significant other in prior to the strip starting or after the trip concludes to extend their stay.
They also have a chance to earn a "bonus" based on what they bill to the client
