Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse/ RN

Job Description

The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations. The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revises the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family. The RN delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes and adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• Assess patient and family needs, develop and prioritize patient goals.
• Evaluate care delivery and continually revise the plan of care.
• Meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient and family.
• Delegate care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Essential Skills

• Current Kansas RN Licensure.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS certification for Telemetry, ICU, and PCU within the first year of employment.
• Chemotherapy certification for Post-Surgical care within the first year of employment.
• 2-Year Degree in Nursing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 4-Year Degree in Nursing.
• At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Work Environment

Join our team as a day shift/night shift, full-time, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Registered Nurse in Topeka, Kansas. The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week. We offer a sign-on bonus of $20,000, with the first half payable after 90 days and the second half after 12 months, contingent on signing a 2-year contract. The organization is committed to retaining talent and offers opportunities for growth and transfers to different departments for gaining experience. Additionally, we are willing to pay for necessary certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $93600.00/yr.
