I&C Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction for control systems, including configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Offer technical advice during design and implementation phases.
- Maintain reliable and efficient operation of control systems security and asset management.
- Collaborate with Operations to identify and correct control system issues.
- Represent the plant in internal and external teams and meetings.
Education & Experience:
- Four-year degree, two-year technical certification, or associate’s degree in electronics preferred; equivalent experience required.
- Experience with instruments and controls in a plant or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in PLC, DCS, or TCS control system platforms (ABB S , Siemens T3000, Allen Bradley PLC) preferred.
- Field troubleshooting experience with control strategy, field instrumentation, and control systems equipment failures.
- Power generation experience preferred.
- Experience with networks and cybersecurity measures preferred.
- Familiarity with Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements preferred.
- Experience with networking protocols and Microsoft Windows OS management preferred.

- Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.

Job Duties:
- Replace and upgrade instrumentation based on life cycle strategy.
- Assist Operations with alarm management.
- Troubleshoot critical instruments with E&I group.
- Lead day-to-day troubleshooting of instrumentation and controls issues.
- Specify, configure, field check, procure, start-up, and tune control systems.
- Participate in project teams for instrumentation and controls projects.
- Work with OEMs on new equipment design and control systems modifications.
- Maintain NERC CIP/Cyber Security compliance.
- Serve as the point of contact for plant personnel on cybersecurity issues.
- Manage on-site security incidents.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and support personnel.
- Exhibit strong leadership and challenge the status quo.
- Available for call-out responsibilities 24/7.
Other Requirements:
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Available to work extended hours as needed.

Pay Ranges: $30-40/hr depending on experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.
