Job Title: Interior Designer

Job Description

Collaborate with the Senior Interior Designer on overall concepts and design direction. Design project support of up to 8 projects at once. Direct and lead the preparation of client design presentations. Keep detailed notes and handle post-meeting tasks when directed. Source furnishings, create client budgets, and create proposals. Monitor project budgets, keep schedules on time, and keep the Senior Interior Designer informed. Produce CAD/Revit elevations, sketches, sections, details, and furniture plans. Assist in styling homes for photoshoots.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Interior Designer on overall concepts and design direction.
• Provide design project support for up to 8 projects simultaneously.
• Direct and lead the preparation of client design presentations.
• Keep detailed notes and handle post-meeting tasks when directed.
• Source furnishings, create client budgets, and proposals.
• Monitor project budgets, keep schedules on time, and keep the Senior Interior Designer informed.
• Produce CAD/Revit elevations, sketches, sections, details, and furniture plans.
• Assist in styling homes for photoshoots.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in an Interior Design firm.
• People skills and good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Killer taste and a design eye consistent with the AHD&Co brand.
• A deep love for all things design (borderline obsession).
• Ability to identify issues proactively and solve them.
• Willingness to jump in with two feet and 'roll up your sleeves' to get the job done.
• Proficiency in Mac and Windows.
• Experience with Photoshop and/or Canva is a plus.
• Ability to learn project software: Asana and HouzzPro/Ivy.

Work Environment

Work onsite full-time in our office in downtown Westfield, NJ. A strong work ethic and a sense of commitment are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
