Job Title: Junior Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional who is a team player with experience in an office setting. The ideal candidate is proficient at multi-tasking and can transition between tasks efficiently. The position involves daily support to the operations manager and general manager. This opportunity is part-time with the potential for full-time based on workload.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and filing
• Reviewing plans and specifications for our scope of work to bid on
• Preparing bids for upcoming projects
• Gathering material costs
• Soliciting bids and performing follow-up calls
• Reviewing and confirming jobs pending files
• Assisting with calls to customers with scheduled jobs to gather information
• Assisting with inventory allocation and counting at month-end
• Assisting with warehouse organization
• Providing general administrative support to the operations manager and general manager
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in current technology, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience in high-volume multi-tasking with the ability to manage various tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the position

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with filing prelims, gathering certificates of insurance for jobs, and onboarding documents for contracts is a plus
• Strong people skills for speaking to contractors and vendors via phone
• Experience with inventory management
• Some construction experience
• A minimum of 1 years of experience in an office environment as a support person
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Organized and able to work within deadlines
• Detail-oriented and a strong team player

Work Environment

This position requires spending 80% of the time in the office/warehouse and 20% in the field. The work hours are from 9 AM to 4 PM, with potential for additional hours. The company has a small, family-owned business atmosphere with a strong team that is fully invested in the growth and success of the company. The office team is experienced, and the operations manager has been with the company for over 20 years. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within the company, with the potential to advance from a Junior Project Manager to a Project Manager. The company is a unionized 2nd tier contractor working with general contractors and other developers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
