Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer specializing in bridge modeling to join our team in either our NYC Office, NY or Princeton, NJ location. The ideal candidate will perform field inspections for reconstruction and rehabilitation bridge projects and conduct analysis and design for bridge superstructures, including steel and prestressed concrete, and substructures with or without pile foundations. You must complete work accurately in accordance with engineering codes and practices and effectively communicate and coordinate with other experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections for reconstruction and rehabilitation bridge projects.
- Conduct analysis and design for bridge superstructures (steel and prestressed concrete) and substructures with or without pile foundations.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with good engineering codes and practices.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with other more experienced engineers.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bridge design projects, including reconstruction and rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in Bentley OpenBridge Modeler software.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Strong collaboration skills and a team player attitude.
- Familiarity with design specifications such as NJTA, NJDOT, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, PADOT Design Manuals & Standards.
- High level of technical detailing and designing with a proven track record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Experience with software such as CSI-Bridge, SAP 2000, Staad-Pro, Load Rating Program, PADOT Design Software, MathCAD, Microstation, and AutoCAD.
- Advanced degrees are a plus.

The position offers hybrid flexibility with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Our main office is located in Princeton, with additional offices in Hackensack, NJ, and New York, NY. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
