Summary: An exciting opportunity to join the Lab Operations team as a Lab Ops contractor. In this role, you will support the Lab Manager for this facility. We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual with some experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Duties & Accountabilities:
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
- Running the glassware sterilization autoclave room.
- Maintaining and restocking all consumables at points of use (POU) and the stockroom.
- Receiving and maintaining gases and dry ice for the lab.
- Shipping and receiving ambient and cold shipments for the company.
- Responsible for restocking consumables in the labs.
- Refilling IPA, restocking gloves, glass bottles, and pipette tip boxes; recycling.
- Performing other duties and projects as needed.
Core Competencies Required:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Science background.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Ability to read and execute standard operating procedures.
Knowledge, Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Interest in learning more about the life sciences.
- Completion of a Bachelor's/Associate's or Certificate Program about the life sciences
- 0-6 months of experience relevant experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical laboratory practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and software.
