Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples, organizing and appropriately storing samples, recording tests and analyses, and reporting results. Additional duties include cleaning and maintaining lab equipment and space, maintaining equipment records and daily work logs, and performing continuous machine preventive maintenance. The Lab Technician will also learn and retain procedures for start-up, operating, and stopping laboratory equipment and will be responsible for daily sample taking and analysis in accordance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and safely store samples to be tested.
• Organize and appropriately store samples.
• Record tests and analyses and report results.
• Clean and maintain lab equipment and space.
• Maintain equipment records and daily work logs.
• Learn and retain procedures for start-up, operating, and stopping laboratory equipment.
• Perform continuous machine preventive maintenance in accordance with procedures.
• Conduct daily sample taking and analysis in accordance with procedures.
• Take initiative during waiting times, such as during the drying process.
• Adhere to regulatory standards including HACCP, FDA, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Engage in quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Handle all other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of HACCP, laboratory procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, biology, chemistry, and biologics.
• Familiarity with GMP environment and ISO standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Effective listening skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and strictly adhere to procedures.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Science related fields or Bachelor's Degree in Science related fields.
• Willingness to learn and train.

Work Environment

This position is within a start-up/small business environment. The company recently fully launched its product and has been actively participating in conferences to promote its brand. The work environment requires adherence to regulatory standards and involves the use of laboratory equipment and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr.
