Lab Technician
Job Description
The lab technician will prepare paper test specimens of various sizes and shapes using different cutting and punching equipment, and operate test instruments to measure paper properties such as thickness, roughness, porosity, and strength. The technician will record their test results and issue reports using Excel spreadsheets. The technician will work safely at all times, helping to maintain good housekeeping, in a high sample throughput paper testing laboratory. They will work collaboratively with other technicians and scientists on the Analytical Sciences team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a materials testing lab is preferred.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Chemical Technology is preferred.
- Candidates without lab tech experience and/or an AS degree will be considered.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
