Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

The Lab Technician will primarily be responsible for running physical tests such as specific gravity, refractive index, brix, pH, setting up flavors for organoleptic evaluation, logging product information into the system, and performing other laboratory duties.

Responsibilities

• Run physical tests including specific gravity, refractive index, brix, and pH.
• Set up flavors for organoleptic evaluation.
• Log product information into the system.
• Perform additional laboratory duties as required.

Essential Skills

• Quality control
• Chemistry
• High School Diploma with 1 year of experience in flavors OR Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Food Science
• Experience with pipetting and pH meter testing (academic experience is acceptable)
• Laboratory experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the flavor industry
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Food Science

Work Environment

This position is based in a lab/office environment. The role involves working with various laboratory equipment and performing detailed tests. The company is a main manufacturer for a leading brand and is expecting 30% growth next year, providing a dynamic and expanding work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
