Description
The Lab Technologist IV will process and analyze patient samples, monitor QC, ensure all instruments are maintained properly, and enter patient results in their department. Must have experience and training in department of interest. Position may require Lab Tech IV to conduct training for new employees. Works closely with departmental Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor to maintain effective workflow of the department. Must meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Must have read and follow Departmental SOPs
- Demonstrates proficiency in the performance, interpretation and the troubleshooting of assays.
- Demonstrates proficiency in judging acceptability of quality control results.
- Participates in internal and external proficiency testing.
- Review performed work for accuracy prior to releasing to clients.
- Communicates sample issues within and outside the department to support proper client communication.
- Assists in evaluation and development of new procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
The Molecular Lab Technologist will process and analyze patient samples, monitor QC, ensure all instruments are maintained properly, and report patient results in their department.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological or Chemical Science or MLT Certification. Upon hire candidates must provide official transcripts and a copy of their diploma. No previous professional experience is required however prior clinical experience is desirable. Candidates must be an excellent problem solver, detail oriented, self-motivated, and a good team player. You must successfully pass a color blind test.
The employee must be able to work in an environment containing biohazards, toxic chemicals, pungent odors, corrosive acids, noise, sharp objects, and other normal hazards found in the clinical laboratory. Laboratory safety measures are in place and protective equipment provided to help minimize possible exposure to these environmental risks.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
