Laboratory Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking 4 Specimen Processing Specialists/Lab Assistants to support the consumer genetics group during its peak season and assist with a special project. Will be part of the team that directly helps people learn about their ancestry and understand their genetic health risks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, and aliquot specimens for testing
• Perform required QC/QA duties which include error detection, maintaining records/logs, and pulling samples for rework

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior lab experience or exposure is a plus
• No prior lab experience required

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling the processing of 300,000 samples per week. The role involves working with advanced laboratory equipment and adhering to high standards of quality and accuracy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00
