Job Overview
At Actalent, we're looking for a talented laboratory professional to join our team. As a Laboratory Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our food products.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate, with an estimated salary range of $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience. After a 6-month training period, your salary will increase to $25 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic QA/QC lab testing, including acid/salt tests, pH/viscosity testing, and titrations.
- Work in three main areas: In-process testing, pH/Viscosity testing and titrations, and Packaging/QA checking labels and code dates.
- Collect and test samples of ingredients, products, or packages according to established procedures.
- Monitor processes to ensure they are operating correctly and consistently.
- Document all results neatly and precisely, labeling and maintaining product retention samples used to monitor the product throughout its shelf life.
- Organize collected data for management review and maintain lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Communicate non-compliant results immediately to management and monitor plant compliance to GMPs.
