Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician

Job Description

We are hiring for a landfill gas technician with 1 years of experience in reading and tuning the wellfield. This technician will be responsible for traveling within the SE region for various landfills performing routine and non-routine maintenance. In addition to tuning the wellfield, the candidate should be comfortable performing pump maintenance including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.

Responsibilities

• Travel within Louisiana to various landfills.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on landfill gas systems.
• Tune the wellfield for optimal performance.
• Perform pump maintenance including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.
• Collect and migrate data from tablets into eTools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the landfill gas systems.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in reading and tuning the wellfield.
• Experience in environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of Hazwoper.
• Proficiency in data collection and environmental testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and use reading software.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in landfill gas reading, tuning, and data migration from tablets into eTools (0-1 years).
• Certified with an OSHA 40 HR HAZWOPER is a plus.
• ISCO certification in fusion is a plus.

Work Environment

This role involves working in landfills with a GCCS methane system which leads to a gas-to-energy plant. The company offers a professional and secure work culture, which has resulted in very low turnover within the region. Employees receive windshield drive time compensation for travel over 1 hour from home and a Per Diem of $55/day. The work environment is dynamic and demands adherence to safety standards, including specific dress codes and the use of protective equipment as required by OSHA and company policies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
