Job Title: Landscape Architect
Job Description
The Landscape Architect will be responsible for executing site development design tasks, assisting in the creation and presentation of project graphics, and supporting senior personnel in various planning and design activities. The Landscape Architect will be involved in developing innovative concepts for site/civil design, landscape architecture, and master planning, while conducting studies on new design methods and materials. Projects include parks, urban spaces, streetscapes, athletic facilities, and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Execute site development design tasks, demonstrating a solid understanding of site development principles, landscape architecture, and professional judgment.
- Assist in developing and presenting proposal and project graphics to clients and public agencies.
- Support senior personnel in planning and studying job requirements, scoping, criteria design determination, design concept formulation, and producing graphic and written materials for projects.
- Develop concepts and approaches for site/civil design, landscape architecture, and master planning.
- Conduct studies on new site development design methods, codes, processes, and materials.
- Perform all tasks safely and responsibly, adhering to the Health and Safety Plan.
- Represent the company positively and uphold its core values.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture
- 1 years of experience in Landscape Architecture, including site planning, conceptual design, and construction document preparation
- Experience with site design, project graphics, and renderings
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in software programs: Civil 3D, Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion
- Experience with projects such as parks, recreation, municipal, commercial, and streetscapes
Work Environment
Office located in downtown St. Joseph. Average of 40 hours per week at the office location.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
