Job Title: Lead Architect - MUST HAVE YOUR AIA

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Architect to join our team. You will work on various projects, including Healthcare, K-12 and Higher Education, and Federal. This is an excellent opportunity to lead our central Iowa office architecture team supporting projects throughout the state. You will play a crucial role in client relationship development, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, and producing construction drawings and reports using Revit.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural projects across various sectors including Healthcare, K-12, Higher Education, and Federal.
• Assist with client relationship development.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Produce construction drawings and reports using Revit.
• Prepare technical and front-end specifications.
• Provide architectural design.
• Support feasibility studies, programming, schematic design, and safety assessments.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Licensed Architect.
• Experience in architectural design and project management.
• Proficient in all design and drafting phases, especially Design Development, Construction Documents, and As-built phases.
• Excellent presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture (Iowa registration preferred).
• Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, StruCalc, and Adobe Suite.

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite in our Des Moines office. Some travel to local projects or meetings with clients, as well as collaboration with team members in other offices, will be required. The company offers PTO and Holiday pay while on contract, and continued benefits upon direct hire. You will work on high-end projects, including the new Des Moines airport terminal and Ankeny airport, with support from our consultant in the Fort Dodge office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.50 - $55.50/hr.
