Job Title: LPN Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated LPN Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist doctors by preparing injections, running and assisting patients, meeting with surgical patients, reviewing medications, and completing booking sheet entries. This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to manage clinical tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare injections for doctors (do not administer).
• Assist and run patients.
• Meet with surgical patients to take their history and physical.
• Review medications with patients.
• Complete booking sheet entries.
• Provide patients with lab sheets after completion.
• Discuss surgical procedures with patients.
• Handle clinical phone calls.
• Utilize critical thinking skills.
• Contact doctors for assistance when needed.
• Submit patient cases to doctors.
• Manage buckets (inboxes in Athena) for clinical questions and medication refills.
• Handle surgical specialty tasks.
• Prepare charts.
• Fill out paper prescriptions for patients (name and label).
• Print the last chart note for patients.

Essential Skills

• Patient care experience.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Vocational / Technical School / Diploma Program required.
• NJ State LPN Nursing License.
• Active BLS certification.
• 1 years of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• Surgery experience is a plus.
• Outpatient experience is a plus, especially in neurology.
• Dynamic, positive, motivated, and hard-working attitude.
• Flexibility with schedule and willingness to work on the floor.
• Experience working in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

The nurse will alternate between the Morristown and Parsippany locations until becoming a permanent employee. Mileage reimbursement is not provided during this period. Starting in June, the Parsippany office will close, and the nurse will work exclusively at the Morristown location. The work week consists of 40 hours with the following schedule: Monday (1:00 PM – 6:00 PM in Morristown), Tuesday (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM in Parsippany), Wednesday (1:00 PM – 6:00 PM in Parsippany, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM in Morristown), Thursday (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM in Parsippany, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Morristown), Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM in Parsippany). Additionally, one Saturday a month from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM in either Morristown or Parsippany. Schedules may vary slightly and will be provided on a monthly basis.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $39.00
