Job Description
We are seeking a Licensed Surveying Manager to oversee the overall operation of a new office in the state of Florida. The primary focus of this role is to support the growing FDOT work. The Manager will be responsible for managing Party Chiefs, Instrument Techs, Survey CAD techs, and other staff to ensure the smooth operation of the location.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations of the new office in Florida.
- Supervise Party Chiefs, Instrument Techs, Survey CAD techs, and other staff.
- Support and manage FDOT projects and initiatives.
- Oversee land surveying tasks, including topographic and boundary surveys.
- Coordinate and manage construction stakeouts and route surveys.
- Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software to complete projects.
- Ensure compliance with all surveying and land development regulations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Essential Skills
- Licensed Surveyor certification.
- Extensive experience in surveying, including land surveying, topographic surveys, and construction stakeouts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other related software.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with FDOT projects.
- Knowledge of boundary survey software and land development processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Topcon and other GPS equipment.
- Experience in drafting and civil surveying.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a combination of office and fieldwork. Candidates should be comfortable working with various technologies and equipment such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS systems. The position may require travel to various project sites. The standard dress code is business casual with appropriate field attire when on-site.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
