Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Phone Support

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a primary care clinic primarily through phone interactions. The role involves recording patient history, taking vital signs, and ensuring timely communication of test results to patients. The LPN will document all patient interactions and responses, manage phone calls, and maintain necessary supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Record patient history, vital signs, and weight.
• Ensure test results are received and communicated to patients in a timely manner.
• Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medications dispensed/prescribed, and other relevant information in the medical record.
• Receive and manage patient phone calls.
• Ensure adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient medical records and maintain all required reports, records, and statistics.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding the practice, its patients, and employees.
• Utilize a variety of office and medical equipment, including telephone, computer, fax, stethoscope, scales, thermometers, blood pressure cuff, and basic lab equipment.
• Take calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relay appropriate information to practitioners in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in scheduling and managing patient vitals.
• Strong communication skills for handling patient phone calls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed required

The position supports a primary care clinic and involves significant phone interaction. The work environment includes the use of various office and medical equipment, such as telephones, computers, fax machines, stethoscopes, scales, thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, and basic lab equipment. It is essential to maintain confidentiality and ensure the accuracy of patient records.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
