Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing is carried out in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while maintaining overall product quality. This role involves responding to production problems, maximizing efficiency, determining necessary parts and tools, and leading complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production problems and escalations where repeat failures or large business impacts are occurring.
• Take on initiatives to solve challenges without a lot of direction.
• Maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization in the assigned area.
• Determine the parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
• Work on projects with complexity and lead projects impacting singular or multiple teams with advanced planning required for task sequencing.
• Provide direction to operators, leads, and supervisors in response to problems and escalations.
• Perform moderate to advanced engineering calculations.
• Support advanced Continuous Improvement (CI) work.
• Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering (preferred but not required)
• 3-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
• 3-5 years of hands-on engineering experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Process Improvement, Kaizen Events, Continuous Improvement, etc.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $106000.00/yr.
