Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing tactical and strategic oversight to the warehouse and inventory control. This includes initiating LEAN Manufacturing practices by analyzing trend information and recommending areas of focus.
In this role, you will review and monitor production variances, hold weekly planning/scheduling meetings with production support to assure productivity and delivery metrics are achieved, and support the development and achievement of KPI's that deliver results for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery. You will also become a BAC ERP (NetSuite) superuser and resolve low-level system issues, maintain the ERP system with production schedule and forecast, and set standards and monitor staff performance, provide performance feedback, write and conduct appraisals, recommend merit increases and promotions.
This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in Planning and Scheduling methodologies, including forecasts, safety stocks, replenishment strategies, inventory optimization, lead time reduction, Kanban, etc. You will also work cross-functionally to identify changes and required resources to obtain objectives, plan, update, and monitor manufacturing schedules, establishing delivery dates and coordinating activity throughout the operation to support the master schedule including tooling and material requirements.
The ideal candidate will have two to three years of experience in Planning and Scheduling in a manufacturing environment, experience managing direct reports, and proficiency with data analytics, databases, MS Excel, MS Work, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Lean Management and ISO13485 Quality Management System is also desirable.
