Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer

Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you'll play a key role in creating detailed design solutions by leveraging your technical expertise. You'll collaborate with engineers, estimators, and clients to develop systems that meet specific project needs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. From analyzing blueprints to conducting site surveys, you'll help bring projects to life, guiding junior staff and working closely with vendors to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed design solutions using technical expertise.
• Collaborate with engineers, estimators, and clients to develop systems tailored to specific project needs.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Analyze blueprints and conduct site surveys.
• Guide junior staff and work closely with vendors to achieve project goals.

Essential Skills

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in CAD, drafting, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting systems design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Fabrication CADmep, Navisworks Manage, and Microsoft Office.
• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Revit and Carrier HAP is a plus.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building codes and construction standards.

Work Environment

This role involves working in an office with the engineering team, with occasional site visits for survey work. The company is located in the York, PA area and offers significant opportunities for growth, including promotions from service roles into engineering positions and funding for further education to achieve EIT/PE certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $57.69/hr.
