Job Description
This position involves working primarily on the computer, managing and translating client drawings into shop detail drawings. The role will include working independently on some projects and collaborating with one or more team members on others, depending on the project's size. All work is 2D, with no 3D or product design involved.
Responsibilities
- Manage and translate client drawings into shop detail drawings
- Collaborate with team members on various project sizes
- Utilize AutoCAD and Excel for drafting and data manipulation
- Read and interpret flat prints/blueprints
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 1 year of experience
- Ability to read flat prints/blueprints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation, and H-lookups
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree in CAD/drafting
- Mechanical inclination (e.g., working on cars, home improvements, shop environment)
- Preferred: AutoCAD experience
- Preferred: drafting within a piping setting
- Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or welding
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
