Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
The Mechanical Analyst will collaborate with the lead ME/Packaging Engineer to complete shock, vibration, thermal, and other analyses necessary to ensure robust electronic products.
Responsibilities
- Perform lumped circuit analysis based on power dissipation of components.
- Validate FEA-based models against FLIR/thermal image captures.
- Utilize FEA tools to validate packaging designs for model performance.
- Conduct shock/vibration analysis given component weights and worst-case shock/vibration stimuli.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for mechanical engineering topics related to projects.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience with Ansys for FEA
- Proficiency in FEA analysis
- Strong background in mechanical engineering
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with packaging design validation
- Knowledge of shock and vibration analysis
- Ability to interpret FLIR/thermal image captures
Work Environment
The work environment involves a mix of R&D for commercial and defense customers. The projects are highly engaging, with no shortage of work, and include a significant commercial project underway. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work on interesting and large-scale projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $55.29/hr.
