Job Description
Position Overview: Provide accurate and timely product designs using customer specifications and/or custom truck body quotes. Design new products and improve existing products accurately and cost-effectively. Resolve any problems and/or questions incurred during production due to design error or misinterpretation. Continually develop new processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and time to delivery.

Essential Skills
- Proficient in CAD designs with a minimum of five years of AutoCAD experience
- Solidworks or Fusion 360 experience
- Experience with sheet metal engineering
- Solid understanding of mechanical design, electrical, hydraulics, structural analysis, and vehicle layout
- High level of mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as shop and customer needs change
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Safe work habits and ability to maintain safe working conditions
- Experience with work trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and/or mobile equipment is a plus
- Experience in the truck equipment industry and hydraulics is beneficial
Work Environment
Fully onsite as fabrication is done on site. Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:40 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with almost half a day on Friday and some flexibility. The team is comprised of two other engineers, making this the third position. It is a small family business with a laid-back environment. There is a black/brown lab in the front office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
