Job Title: Medical Assistant Instructor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting and be committed to providing high-quality education and support to our students. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including patient updates, data entry, answering phone calls, ordering labs, relaying lab results, scheduling follow-ups, and performing triage. This position requires medical experience and a high school diploma. Experience with EMR systems, particularly Athena, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct follow-ups with patients.
• Update patient information and data entry.
• Answer inbound phone calls and provide appropriate assistance.
• Order and manage lab tests.
• Relay lab results to patients and healthcare providers.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
• Perform triage and provide clinical support.
• Assist with patient care and appointment scheduling.

Essential Skills

• Medical Assisting experience (1 years).
• High School Diploma.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically Athena.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience in ordering labs and taking calls.
• Ability to perform triage and provide clinical support.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred but not required.
• Customer service skills.
• Experience with front desk operations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of insurance processes.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a clinic. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, and holiday pay for six paid holidays. Upon permanent employment, you will receive nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO. Performance-based pay raises and PTO tokens are available. The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
