Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant with 1-2 years of experience in medical assisting. This role involves working at a Pain Management Clinic, providing essential patient care and supporting healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have experience using an EMR system, with Athena preferred but not required. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and entering patient history into the EMR system
- Taking vital signs including body temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight
- Setting up the injection table for the provider to administer injections
- Preparing urine samples/urinalysis for providers
- Ensuring quick patient turnover, with each provider seeing 30-35 patients a day
Essential Skills
- 1-2 years of medical assisting experience
- Experience with EMR systems
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in patient care and taking vitals
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Athena EMR system is preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Work Environment
This position is based at a Pain Management Clinic and involves working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional extended hours until 5:30 PM. You will be rotating between multiple locations including Hammonton, Vineland, and another site. The role offers benefits, no weekend work, and the potential for some overtime if needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00
