Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests, including immunoassays and blood banking procedures.
- Perform specimen collection and processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and management.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Assist in clinical trials by preparing samples and documenting results accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights on patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical terminology and laboratory techniques to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is preferred.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including DNA isolation and flow cytometry.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to laboratory practices.
- Experience with data management systems relevant to clinical laboratories.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
