Job Title: Methods Engineer

This role is based in Canada and would require relocation to work onsite. As the Methods Engineering space is highly specialized, we are expanding our search beyond the Canadian workforce to include qualified candidates from the U.S. and other international markets.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Methods Engineer to support the evaluation and revision of engineering master documentation for the production of different commercial aircrafts. The role emphasizes machine shop, structural, and sheet metal assembly, focusing on the final assembly. This position requires creating work instruction manuals and partnering with vendors to provide packages for tooling, materials, parts, and components.

Responsibilities

• Create work instruction manuals and annotated written books with images for installation.
• Partner with vendors to provide packages for tooling, materials, parts, and components.
• Understand the types of hand tools, rivets, and fasteners required.
• Support the production line and troubleshoot issues with parts that have never been created or assembled on site before.
• Ensure a strong understanding of the manufacturing process for sheet metal and machined parts.
• Utilize CAD software (Catia, Solidworks, ProE) to support engineering tasks.
• Support configuration and create packages for aerospace structures using Infor Visual (Manufacturing).

Essential Skills

• 4 years of methods experience supporting the design of technical instructions for structural assemblies.
• 3 years of experience in aerospace.
• Knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes.
• 3 years of CAD experience (Creo, Catia, Solidworks).
• Combination of education and experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of aerospace engineering and manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Experience with general assembly for aerostructures.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
• Previous ERP/MRP experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• AME experience (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer).
• Experience working in a machine shop or with CNC machines in parts manufacturing.
• Direct methods experience in aerospace.
• Local candidates preferred.
• Experience with Infor Visual (Manufacturing).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $44.00/hr.
