Microbiologist Technician
Responsibilities
- Prepare broths for various tests including yeast, mold, and salmonella.
- Set samples and run them through appropriate readers.
- Document results and report findings to upper management.
- Conduct periodic environmental testing.
- Perform most tests in-house with occasional 3rd party testing.
- Work towards achieving ISO certification for the lab.
- Handle samples from other locations for ISO regulated tests once certification is achieved.
- Conduct food pathogen testing.
- Operate PCR and autoclave equipment.
- Follow existing SOPs and implement new SOPs as needed.
- Conduct crucial final tests on products before distribution.
