Job Title: Mission & Integration Modeling Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mission & Integration Modeling Engineer to lead and manage the Operations Concept Sequence of Events (OCSE) model, Mission Success Tree, and Requirements Validation Models. You will support the development of the Interface Control Document (ICD) in SysML and collaborate with the NASA team to capture the technical content required for the MAV CONOPS and other MAVIS subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Operations Concept Sequence of Events (OCSE) model.
• Develop and maintain the Mission Success Tree and Requirements Validation Models.
• Support the development of the Interface Control Document (ICD) using SysML.
• Collaborate with the NASA team to understand the MAV CONOPS and other MAVIS subsystems to capture required technical content.
• Develop complex sequence diagrams that describe sequence of events models for space missions or other complex aerospace systems.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in SysML and experience using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Rhapsody).
• Strong MBSE expertise.
• Experience in developing complex sequence diagrams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop Requirements Validation Models, Mission Success Trees, and Goal Trees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Systems engineering experience in space systems, launch vehicles, or deep-space missions.
• Experience following a disciplined Model Development Plan or similar structured MBSE frameworks.

Work Environment

Worksite Location: Huntsville, AL. Options include working remotely, traveling, or being onsite. The work schedule follows a 9x80 format: 9 hours for four days and 8 hours on the first Friday in the first week, and 9 hours for four days with the second Friday off in the second week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
