Biologist

Job Description

We are seeking a Biologist with expertise in plant biology and molecular biology to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for studying the basic principles of plant biology using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within molecular biology. This role involves planning and accomplishing tasks under general supervision, typically reporting to a supervisor or manager. The position requires delivering on molecular processes in an ISO9001 environment to drive our crop science pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and Safety standard requirements, including training documentation, lab, and automation operations.
• Deliver products to downstream partners on a production scale, ensuring proper batching and documentation within data systems.
• Provide on-the-floor support as a scientist in plant biology.
• Work methodically and with attention to detail to deliver high-quality results.
• Support deviation resolution and ensure adherence to best practices.

Essential Skills

• Experience with molecular biology techniques.
• Proficiency in PCR, DNA cloning, and sequencing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically.
• Ability to learn and use new data systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
