Job Description
The role is for an ICU Nursing Manager who will serve as the clinical leader responsible for the operations and management of the ICU, telemetry, dialysis, and organ contracts. This position involves overseeing daily shift operations, staffing decisions, and long-term management responsibilities to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee ICU, telemetry, dialysis, and organ contracts.
- Serve as the clinical leader responsible for ICU operations and management.
- Handle shift operations, including making assignments, coordinating care, resolving issues, and functioning as the resource nurse.
- Participate in staffing decisions, round on patients, and maintain ICU compliance.
- Manage long-term responsibilities like employee evaluations, corrective actions, business/budget planning, and performance improvement.
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Certified in critical care nursing by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses or equivalent.
- Graduate of an NLN/ACEN accredited nursing program.
- BSN required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- 3-5 years of experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse.
- 2 years of experience in an ICU in a teaching setting.
Work Environment
Day shift, 8 hours/5 days. The position is at a 128-bed community hospital with various advanced facilities. The ICU floor has 9 beds and oversees telemetry techs, and also holds over for med surge with low acuity patients. The team has a good culture and long-tenured members, working on building and improving as a community hospital. The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
