We are currently seeking an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Compliance and Certification Documentation Engineer to join our team in a remote working environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with certification requirements across various regions, working closely with internal teams, and guiding others in maintaining OBD standards.
Responsibilities
Produce all certification documentation required by the California Air Resources Board, the EPA, Europe, and other regions that mandate OBD certification documentation.
Collaborate with the Advance OBD Groups and the Production OBD Calibration Groups to ensure compliant production implementation.
Instruct and guide team members on basic monitoring requirements for compliant vehicles.
Share defined tasks and responsibilities with other engineers to cover the complete scope of the position.
Essential Skills
Diagnostic testing and On-Board diagnostics experience.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering or equivalent from an accredited program.
0-3 years of experience.
Knowledge of on-board diagnostics and base engine control software.
Proficiency in MATLAB / SIMULINK / C .
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Visio and Access.
Above average written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Capability to coordinate activities with numerous internal and external groups.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
3 to 5 or more years of automotive engineering experience in gasoline, hybrid, or diesel controls or On-Board Diagnostics.
Experience with database applications such as Microsoft Access and Oracle.
Experience in vehicle troubleshooting, automotive electrical / electronic systems, and emissions systems.
Ability to read software written in various forms : Matlab / Simulink, C , pseudocode, and flowcharts.
Work Environment
This position is remote with 0%-5% travel for various industry meetings / conferences in the U.S. The work will primarily involve coordination with Stellantis Global headquarters. No driving of Stellantis vehicles is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $36.06
