Job Title: Operating Room Nurse

Job Description

Assist physicians with surgeries and observe patients. Document patient care and monitor changes pre and post-surgery. Prep candidates and surgery centers for procedures. Collaborate with multiple team members. Responsible for making sure that operating rooms are prepped for surgery. Cart prep and process instruments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited post-secondary school of nursing required.
• Current TN Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Previous OR or Procedure Room experience required.
• Experience in general trauma, spine, acute care preferred.
• OR or ER experience within the last 3 years required.
• Ability to immediately recognize and initiate treatment in emergency situations (perform CPR).
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG monitor.
• Knowledge of anesthetic agents used - inhalation, moderate sedation and injection; the usual dosages, symptoms of and toxic amounts, duration of action, contraindications, antidotes, etc.
• Able to operate and troubleshoot equipment found in surgery.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $79560.00
