Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Liasion to join our San Antonio, TX team! This role involves updating electronic medical records (EMR), handling a high volume of calls, scheduling appointments, setting up diagnostic testing, managing referrals, and both inbound and outbound calls. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in medical office support and excellent phone skills.

Responsibilities

• Update electronic medical records (EMR).
• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Set up diagnostic testing.
• Manage patient referrals.
• Provide patient care and education as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with electronic health records.
• Appointment scheduling skills.
• Patient care and patient education abilities.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls.
• Referral management experience.
• Prescription management skills.
• Bilingual abilities.
• Computer skills.
• Experience in ophthalmology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• At least 1 year of medical office/support experience.
• Experience with FMLA documentation, prescription refills, and referrals

Work Environment

This position operates in a call center environment and is not patient-facing. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. We are looking for candidates with a passion for patient care, bubbly personality, and driven phone skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
