Job Title: Patient Services Associate
Job Description
Record and generate a variety of information pertaining to the patient revenue process. This high-performance level position requires a certain degree of knowledge of complex rules and the ability to apply these rules in the work environment to achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Record or generate revenue by gathering and processing information that impacts the patient revenue process. Fiscal responsibility is measured by high production levels, quality of work output, and compliance with established policy standards.
- Initiate and develop relationships with customers to gather and process information or resolve issues to receive accurate reimbursement and optimize customer satisfaction.
- Operate general office equipment, generate letters, work on spreadsheets, and enter and sort data.
- Work independently and make decisions relative to individual work activities. Accountable for individual work activities. Work assignments are defined by the immediate supervisor or manager.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or additional training in a relevant profession preferred.
- Two years of experience working in hospital access, physician office, or billing and collections or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to analyze data, perform multiple tasks, and work independently.
- Develop and maintain professional, service-oriented working relationships with patients, physicians, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures.

Work Environment
This position is located at a fast-paced Gastroenterology clinic. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The facility is equipped with general office equipment and follows a business casual dress code.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.36 - $22.43/hr.
