Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Manage the payroll activities of the payroll shared service operation for all 3 operations under the parent company. Manages timely and accurate payments and payroll tax withholding for all types of employee compensation including, special processing of vested and non-vested imputed income plans, special award programs, relocation programs, TDI and Workers comp payments. Ensure that all payroll processes and procedures are in compliance with internal controls, SOX controls and legal requirements. Coordinates timely and accurate updating of employee payroll info between the HR/Benefits system and SAP Payroll. Manages the setup of all earnings and deduction codes and the taxability of the codes in SAP payroll.

Responsibilities

• Manage the payroll activities for all 3 operations under the parent company.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments and payroll tax withholding for all types of employee compensation.
• Handle special processing of vested and non-vested imputed income plans, special award programs, relocation programs, TDI, and Workers comp payments.
• Ensure compliance of all payroll processes and procedures with internal controls, SOX controls, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate timely and accurate updating of employee payroll info between the HR/Benefits system and SAP Payroll.
• Manage the setup of all earnings and deduction codes and the taxability of the codes in SAP payroll.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably within a large company.
• Working knowledge of SAP as it relates to payroll processing.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state withholding tax laws, workers comp laws, temporary disability insurance laws, federal and state unemployment laws.
• Thorough understanding of the principles of accounting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05/hr.
