Job Description
This position is for a Manufacturing Engineer supporting automation efforts in assembly. The role involves providing line support, investigating issues, and developing assembly processes and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide line support for Root Cause & Corrective Actions for safety, quality, velocity, and cost issues.
- Follow the Safety CI Card process by discussing problems and solutions and updating the CI Card Originators.
- Attend BIQ meetings to report on issues as assigned.
- Create and maintain manufacturing engineering documentation
- Respond to Continuous Improvement cards to support Safety, Velocity, Quality, and Cost.
- Interface with Assemblers, Supervisors, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- minimum experience of a manufacturing internship
- Ability to read and interpret prints/BOMs.
- Comfortable working on a manufacturing floor.
- Knowledgeable in assembly processes and methods.
- Experience or knowledgeable with robotics, automation, integrating automated systems, PLC
Work Environment
This role involves working on the manufacturing floor and interfacing with various departments including Assemblers, Supervisors, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance.. The work involves creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, and supporting efforts to automate assembly processes. The work environment is dynamic and requires excellent communication and initiative.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
