Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team. This role involves reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, compounding medications, directing pharmacy staff, and ensuring efficient prescription fulfillment. You will also provide medication counseling and support to nursing facility staff and advise physicians on medication therapy.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Direct other pharmacy employees in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.
• Ensure the accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.
• Dispense medications and provide counseling to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Advise physicians about medication therapy.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy License in the State of FL.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or other Windows-based software programs.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Retail experience in a high-volume environment is highly preferred.
• Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This position involves 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime. The schedule is from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday. You will be working in a fast-paced retail environment where attention to detail and efficiency are crucial. The closed door pharmacy is located in the East Orlando region.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $63.00/hr.
