Phlebotomist

Job Description

A local hospital is seeking to build out a phlebotomy team that will work as an extension of the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy tasks.
• Check vital signs as needed.
• Assist with patient mobility in limited circumstances as needed.
• Stock supply closets during down time.

Essential Skills

• Experience in phlebotomy verified with references.
• Customer service skills.
• Medical assistant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a lab/office setting within one of the leading hospitals in west Knoxville, known for its specialization in elective procedures and its reputation as the 'country club' of hospitals in the area. This long-term contract offers 40 hours of PTO in the first 9 months and 60 hours of PTO offered every 6 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
