We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong in phlebotomy and exceptional customer service skills. This role involves drawing blood, processing samples, and entering patient information into our system. You will work in a patient services center, managing around 30-50 patients per day. Additional training will be provided for tasks such as accessioning.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and enter their information into the system.
• Draw blood using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Process and label specimens according to established procedures.
• Record maintenance data and ensure decontamination of equipment.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Collect and store specimens as required.
• Demonstrate proper techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as necessary.

Essential Skills

• 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Strong data entry skills for entering patient information.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Assistant.
• No certifications required.

Work Environment

The position is based at a patient services center located in Lower Manhattan, New York, NY. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends required. This is a stationary position with the potential for overtime. You will be working in a dynamic environment with opportunities for career growth and development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
